Here's a question(s) that never came up before! I'm sitting here playing with some old reels and now I'm wondering:
1) When did the old familiar black braided casting line come into use? I see it all the time on reels dating back to pre-1900- could that be "age appropriate" for a reel that old?
2) How about the multicolored "metered" casting lines, that changed color every 10 feet or so?
3) And another line question- I always remove the line from an old reel to check out the spool. If it is "age appropriate", should I put it back on, or just show the reel without the line?
Opinions welcomed. Thanks for your time! Best---- Joe Walkowski (WNYTC ORCA)
