Heddon color BBG?

I have a swayback Zara Spook in a diamond box.

The box is marked ORIGINAL ZARA SPOOK SURFACE 9255 BBG 8D.

The color looks to be BB, Baby Bass. Why does the box say BBG? Any ideas? Was BBG a color in the 70s?
