I'd like to first thank Mr. Yates for allowing me to post this here.
I am John Mack's son, and I have lots of great memories from traveling to shows with him and meeting a lot of you great folks. I remember posting on here after his death and was profoundly touched by the outpouring of support you all showed. Knowing how much you all respected him made me even more proud to be his son.
When Dad passed, I was stationed in Germany, so we are just now getting around to settling his estate. The estate sale will be next week at our house in Birmingham, Alabama. Our estate sale company has put up hundreds of pictures of the fishing tackle and other antiques in the house, and I wanted to post here. I think Dad would appreciate it if portions of his collection were able to stay in the community.
Due to my contact with the estate sale company, I'm unable to "hold" or "reserve" any items, but if you're able to make it to Birmingham next week, I thought I'd give y'all the heads up.
Thank you again for the friendship and respect you showed my father over the years. I'll never forget it, even though I didn't end up as a fisherman myself.
