The Lockport, NY show was this weekend. Dan Bedford did an excellent job. The turnout was great All the regulars in attendance. Jim Wheeler, Dave Skalski, Joe Walkowski and another 20 plus collectors. The public was there also bringing in quite a bit of tackle. I did not see any home runs. But at least they came out.
I did not buy one Lowe’s bait and I need a few. Thinking we are so close to Buffalo you would think at least one Lowe’s bat wing would have walked in the door. Anyone have one for sale?
But I did buy two really great items. First a 1917 Wm. Croft and Sons catalog. I am not sure how long they have been around but the catalog is great. Yes there are pages of If Lowe’s by Pflueger, Buel, Heddon and frogs. Nice piece.
The other piece is a 3 ring notebook from the estate of Otto Peters( the son of H L Peters. ) Otto took over the company when Herman died. The notebook is probs75 xerox pages of every ad they put in the Buffalo Courier Express and the Buffalo News. Along with articles about fishing trips, trap shooting, the formation of the Buffalo Anglers club etc.
You never knows what shows up at a show. Next year think about attending this one.
