Up for your consideration is the third and last Shur-Strike printer's block I presently own...a RARE SHUR-STRIKE FO PRINTER'S BLOCK (FO stands for Fly Oreno...see picture #2...this printer's block prints the FO-2 White, Red Head coloration). My research clearly reveals both the TO called Trout-A-Lures (illustrated...an identical yet larger version of this FO printer's block) and the FO called Fly-A-Lures (not illustrated) were introduced in the California Hardware Company, Los Angeles, CA 1936 (No. 10) catalog (see picture #3). However, the earliest usage of this FO printer's block is found in Shur-Strike's b&w 4-page catalog sheet titled SHUR-STRIKE LURES FOR 1939 . . . (see picture #4).
