These baits date from 1820's to 1850. The tiny silver Waterwitch has 4 crude holes that you can see thru the bait when you put it in front of a light and it has a hole lengthwise too. Top left is a solid MOP body with a carved collar and the back is painted over in gold, when you lay it MOP side down it has carved gills and a mouth plainly evident, reminds me of the fish decoys i have! Top right must be made of horn as the light shines through and is lighter, there's red dots, gold belly and red painted gills on both sides also a simple mouth. Enjoy! Dave dmb1@hotmail.com
