The first box (larger on top) is from a wood that is hard to find called Birdseye Maple. The second is from a wood similar to Mahogany known as Sapele. Gene has also done boxes for me from Eastern Red Cedar which is not only beautiful, but has a wonderful aroma and protective of fragile lures such as flies.
